Michael W. Cassiday

KCA's Vice-President, is a metallurgical engineer and has been associated with the company since 1978.

Randall A. Pyper

General Manager, KAPPES CASSIDAY & ASSOCIATES AUSTRALIA (KCAA), holds a Masters' degree in metallurgical engineering.

W. Robert Rose

Manager, South American Projects, is a mining engineer with start up and operations experience in heap leach projects for leaching both ore and tailings, and in gold placer mines.

Carl E. Defilippi

Senior Engineer/Project Manager, holds a Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering and is certified as an Environmental Manager for the State of Nevada.

Terence E. Albert

Laboratory Manager, has a background of extensive laboratory test work experience including flotation testing, gravity concentration, and cyanidation. As manager of laboratory operations, his primary functions are to oversee the operation of the Reno laboratory, to set up field laboratory projects for client companies, and to oversee the process control of field operations.

W. Michael Reed

Senior Metallurgical Engineer/Project Manger, has over 30 years experience in equipment and plant design, process engineering and computer applications, including most recently, 16 years with Aker Kvaerner Metals.

Richard Taylor

Support Engineer, has a BASc degree in Metals and Material Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in Nevada. Richard has worked as a metallurgist for both Newmont Mining and Glamis Gold in Northern Nevada with an additional year of experience in primary aluminum production. At KCA, Richard has provided engineering support in scoping and feasibility engineering studies for a variety of mine process operations.

John Bridegum

Support Engineer, has a BS degree in Geological Engineering. He is construction manager for KCA's carbon adsorption and Merrill-Crowe recovery plants and has been responsible for the construction, installation, and commissioning of several of these circuits.
Everett Less
Support Engineer, graduated from the University of Utah in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering.

Ryan Adams

Support Engineer, holds a B.S. degree in Material Science and Engineering. Ryan is Manager of KCA Modular Technologies, Inc., which is the division responsible for building portable laboratories and portable process equipment.
Timothy D. Scott
Senior Project Manager / Process Engineer. Previous experience in process management positions for Goldfields Australia and Goldfields Ghana; and supervisory positions for other gold recovery operations including Barrick Goldstrike.

Pedro Rosales Valenzuela

Senior Designer, has over ten years experience as a senior designer and draftsman for numerous mining projects. While at KCA, he has provided engineering and design support for various studies and detailed engineering projects including Ocampo and Pinos Altos.

Todd O. Stewart

Senior Design Engineer (Flotation Processes) and Field Projects Manager, holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Todd has process engineering/management experience in six major copper, lead, zinc and pyrite flotation plants including Chino (Kennecott), and Aguilar Argentina (St. Joe Minerals).

David Croas

Senior Engineer and Field Projects Manager, holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Dave has experience as mine engineer, mine manager and corporate mining engineer for seven major mining companies in South America and the U.S.

Andrew Bairn

Junior Engineer, graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 2007 with a BS in metallurgical and materials engineering. He worked as a research assistant at the School of Mines and assisted in the development of a method to recover platinum from spent automobile catalytic converters and built a flotation cell to recover tungsten from wolfromite. He is currently working on laboratory projects for KCA dealing with cyanide destruction and precious metals recovery from refractory arsenopyrite concentrates.

Naseem Mian

Consulting Engineer for Flotation Projects, holds degrees in Mining Engineering, Mineral Process Engineering and Business Management from Punjab University, Imperial College London, Royal School of Mines and University of Dallas. Naseem has a wide variety of experience as General Manager of mining projects, including Hog Ranch and Kennecott Rawhide (Nevada gold operations). He has been mill superintendent or senior metallurgical engineer at many flotation plants, including Cayeli Turkey (lead zinc silver), Greens Creek Alaska (Kennecott: lead zinc silver) and Red Dog Alaska (Cominco: lead zinc silver).

Guillermo M. Larios

Junior Engineer, graduated from the University of Nevada in 2007 with an MS in metallurgical engineering. At Nevada, he was a research assistant and participated in several research projects including dendrite solidification and the launching and retrieval of soda-can sized satellites. He is currently part of the EPCM team for the Pinos Altos project and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Jake Ward

Support Engineer, holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. Before joining KCA he worked on a process for producing titanium dioxide pigment from ilmenite ore. He has particular experience in solvent extraction and hydrochloric acid leaching. He is currently managing a project which is aimed toward obtaining lithium values from smectite clays.

Caleb D. Cook

Junior Engineer, graduated from the University of Nevada in 2010 with a BS in chemical engineering.  While at the University of Nevada, Caleb was involved in several research projects including a potential cancer therapy using “smart” polymer materials and the development of an experimental rocket propellant.  Currently, Caleb works as a shop support and process engineer at KCA.

Francisco Javier Abelais Boido

Support Engineer, holds a BS degree in mining engineering. Before joining KCA, Francisco worked in several heap leach operations in Mexico and was responsible for both process operations and maintenance. He was KCA's construction manager at the Los Filos Bermejal project and is currently part of the design and construction team for Pinos Altos.

Carmina Garcia

Manager of SECL, KCA's new independent logistics/procurement company for northern Mexico.

Carlos Alvarez

Geotechnical Engineer and geotechnical Projects Manager, holds degrees in systems analysis and Civil Engineering from UAP Piura, Peru. Prior to joining KCA, Carlos had over 12 years experience in supervision of geotechnical construction projects, especially leach pads for gold processing operations (including major mines such as the Cerro Verde (Phelps Dodge) copper leach and the Yanacocha (Newmont) gold leach plants.

Victor Olivas

Field project engineer and construction projects manager, holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University Autonoma de Chihuahua. Victor has 25 years of experience in Civil Engineering projects, especially in the areas of road construction and water supply.
